Participation:
Participation in the tournamentissubject to Swissnationality - regardless of the place of residence.Players of othernationalitiesmayparticipate if they live in Switzerland and do not wish to participate in or for another national association in the future.
Starting Date: The tournamentis free of charge and membership in the SBA is not a condition. Tournamentstart: 01.03.2019. The duration of the tournament dependents on the number of participants.
Modus: The tournament will be played in 5-times-Ko - mode:
The tournamentwillbeplayed in the quintuple elimination: Each participant playsuntilhe has eitherlost 5 times and iseliminated, or is the only participant withfewerdefeats in the tournament. Ifthelatteristhecase, he isthewinnerofthetournament. All rounds are playedto 13 points. The pairings of the first 5 rounds are randomlydrawnin one go..Thereaftereachround will bedrawnindividuallyaccordingtotheSwiss systemwiththesoftwareof Hans-Jürgen Werner. The matches are played on the Gridgammon server. (as an alternative on EBIF Tiger) Playerswithout a Gridgammonaccountcanapply for a one at ebif@gmx.at . The resultshavetobereportedtogetherwiththematchfile on thewebsite www.ebif.at . (after login - myebif") The matchesareanalyzedwith XGandpublished. Rank 1-3 entitled to participate in EBIF Champions Cup Rank 4-6 entitled to participate in EBIF EuropeanCup SBA membershiprequired Ranks 1-3 receivemedals, and are awarded at the prizegivingceremony of the Swisschampionship. The english EBIF-rules are applied. with one Change: matches are lost if the oponent arrives 20 Minutes too late. And if he did NOT contact oponent befor m´the match.
